Introduction
Welcome to the first in a series of regular product development briefings from ARC. We envision these being released fortnightly, or when key development updates become available.
Current status
Following the launch of our initial test-net MVP a month ago, we’ve been hard at work building the ARC system to be deployable in a live environment. To date, completed enhancements have included an updated and greatly expanded interface as shown in the following images. All of the front-end design work is now essentially finished. All development work on the “swaps” functionality in particular is also complete, which will connect users to multiple decentralized exchanges across different chains and allow currencies to be exchanged via the ARC interface.
Yield farm acceleration
During our agile development process we identified the need to accelerate the roll-out of yield farm functionality to support $ARC token liquidity, which has therefore been brought forward in the schedule. This is also a key step to ensure that system revenue share can be facilitated, which we want to have up and running as soon as possible to reward our loyal investors. Progress in this area has been swift, and we’re approaching the stage where audits can take place prior to deployment.
Chainlink integration
Integrating Chainlink oracles will enable ARC to produce the most reliable and accurate price information for users, and hence maximize utility. Work in this area is also progressing well.
Product release timeline
Security remains our primary concern, and it’s obviously something we refuse to compromise on when considering the deployment of our product into a live environment. At this stage, we anticipate swaps functionality will have passed all audits including penetration and stress testing be ready to release by the end of the month. The timeframe for additional functionality is later on in November.
Looking forward
Those of you who have used ARC on the test-net will understand why we’re so excited about the impending live product launch, and to be able to demonstrate for the first time in a live environment our vision of aggregating all of crypto in three clicks. With our expanded in-house technical team, we’ll be able to increase the tempo of product enhancements over the coming months via a continuous improvement process.
